Etsy artisan interview with: acrossthepond!

acrossthepond.etsy.com

How did you first get interested in what you do?

I've always been interested in making things, ever since I was a little girl. My mom is very crafty, although she does more sewing (which I am just terrible at!). I got interested papercrafts about ten years ago when I started a scrapbook obsession upon the birth of my daughter. I got interested in making jewelry about a year ago, when I decided to visit my local bead store and just fell in love with all the beautiful beads. I've since spun off and started making my own jewelry designs.

Who is your favorite artist?
I admire all artists. I find something to love in anything that is made with a person's own hands!

What are your top 5 favorite Etsy shops?
Of course I have to give a shout out to my friend Karen at karenlynn.etsy.com
She makes beautiful stuff for babies, and she's the one who introduced me to Etsy!

Also, my friend Holly at hforville.etsy.com
She's just getting started, and she makes the most gorgeous pottery ever.

I also love these unique and wonderful shops:

arabbitgirl.etsy.com She has absolutely beautiful, mystifying art.
fruccidesign.etsy.com Paper meets jewelry...that's right up my alley.
TheEliMonster.etsy.com I love using cloth diapers on my baby and I think these are just gorgeous.
