Man is it cold out!! I don't think its ever been this cold in all the 3yrs. we've been living up here.

-2°F. !!!! I missed school again b/c my car battery is dead again, tomorrow will go and buy a new one. Am a tad upset b/c its the 2nd day that I missed school, I missed the first day of class last week and now again today grrr!!! Am gonna go and create some craft stuff to get my mind off of this. Laters....

Revamped lampshade....

Just revamped my lampshade by adding some cool new fabric to the outside of it. My plan is to have a theme color in my room with the blues in the lampshade. Gonna get some new window curtains in a blue color and hopefully a bedspread to match.

Honey Herb Chicken Recipe

These are the ingredients I used.
Honey & balsamic vinegar & mix together.

Mix the seasoning into the honey vinegar mixture then put in your chicken and mix together.Cook your chicken in a saucepan with the sauce till done.

So the other day I came up with a recipe. Came out pretty good. Here it is if you want to try it.

Take 2-3 skinless boneless chicken breast and cut into thin pieces and marinate in the sauce.

The sauce is made up of balsamic vinegar, honey and chicken herb seasoning. I didn't measure it, I just eyeballed how much I needed for the chicken. You don't need a ton of the balsamic vinegar since that is pretty strong. I say you do 1 part of the vinegar to 2 parts of the honey and seasoning.

In the end it will have a nice honey flavor and the taste of the seasoning and a hint of the vinegar.

So, i've been waiting for an hour now for my foil to dry so I can make my last foil design on my t-shirt, then have to wait another hour for that to dry, then I will take photos and post it on here. It is another "when pigs fly" design, on a green v-cut t-shirt. they piggies are in gold foil, it looks neat so far. I still have a ton more designs to make into screens, but I ran out and need to reorder some more. Can't wait for my shipment of vinyl to come in this weekend, so I can fill my 2 orders of laptop decals. I will be hand cutting them, so no 2 are exactly alike.

Well just tried the transfer decals, didn't work too great. The colors bled a teeny bit and the overall image looks deteriorated.... I wish my printer could use rag paper, then I can glue the image onto wood better that way.

I just got some transfer film and printed some photos on it. I have to wait 30min for it to dry, I am gonna try square pieces of glass and circular pieces of wood. Will post the results once finished!

Its been a gloomy and rainy day today. Their are some very pretty colorful flowered trees on my campus at school that I wanted to take photos of but sadly its been crappy out, and suppose to be like this all week long:-( Hopefully this will clear up soon.

1. How did you find Etsy?
If memory serves me right I first heard about Etsy on an artist forum. Many of the people posting there were on Etsy and recommended the site. I checked it out, loved it, and have been here ever since.

2. How did you get into the craft/artwork that you do now?
I have always been creative, drawing since I was a little girl. One of my Grandmothers was an artist, the other was very crafty. So I was always encouraged to draw, paint, and create. I originally only sold my artwork on Etsy but wanted to branch out somewhat. I got the idea to put my art on pendants and that branched out to include using my huge collection of vintage images for the pendants also.

3. What inspires you?
So many different things can inspire me to create. Browsing through all the great items on Etsy always inspires me. But it can be anything, a book , a tree and all of a sudden an idea will just pop into my head. Halloween and Autumn are my favorite times of the year so I always find additional inspiration during that time.

4. Who is your fav. artist?
This is a hard one because I like so many and a variety of art. Just a sampling of my favorites on Etsy are:

Wild Atlantic Salmon!

I just put the fish into the oven. You can tell the difference between the wild versus the farm raised salmon, the color on the wild is a red/pink color, and the farm raised is a pink. I haven't had wild salmon in years! I remember back when I used to live in WA state, we used to go fishing and caught salmon, that was fun. I am also in the process of making rice and asparagus for the meal also. Maybe a salad too. Then we gotta eat, once hubby comes home from work, and then off to the gym!

Natural beeswax and dammar resin, I so want to buy some! I found this website that sells all kinds of fun stuff, including the beeswax and resin, its called The Earth Pigments Company. I wanted to make some photo blocks, and then seal them with a coating of the wax and resin, I think it would add a nice effect. There is a lumber store 15min away that I have yet to visit, but from there website it looks like they have an array if different types of wood, I would love to have them cut some wood blocks for me. But since we are going to be moving in a week haha, I should wait a bit for that. Hopefully down in central PA I can find a nice lumber yard.

So far today I went to school, came home, called real estate people about apartments for rent, and left a message, and am now defrosting chicken, I am gonna attempt to make this Thai green curry. There is a recipe on the back that sounded tasty, I got the ingredients for it yesterday,its called Thai ginger chicken & cashew nuts. Hubby is at work for some extra $$, we need it, plus they asked him to come in, so he should be done with this in a half hour or so, so I better get cooking!

Today has been filled with chores, and haven't even got all of them completed. So far I did the laundry,washed the dishes, and got rid of some junk, still have to make dinner. But I still need to pay the bills(hubby will do that tomorrow when I am at school) and gotta call up some people about apartments down in PA, since we will most likely be moving down there in two weeks.

I should invest in a scanner sometimes, that would be nice, then I can scan in my film into the computer. I have film that I developed but haven't printed yet sadly. And still have film yet to be developed.
